The Election Technology Initiative Working Group meets quarterly – both in-person and virtually – to discuss updates to technologies, future technology solutions, technology pilots or implementations and review upcoming publications. These discussions are intended to ensure that the Initiative and the technologies that come under the program remained rooted in the interests of the public that they serve. 

The Working Group consists of 10 election officials. This includes officials selected by The Council of State Governments and The Turnout as well as officials nominated by the National Association of Secretaries of State, the National Association of State Election Directors and the National Association of State Election Officials. Advisory Council members can participate in Working Group meetings as subject matter experts as needed.
